Our Story:
Why Meat the Need exists and how we serve with integrity
Why We Started:
Meat the Need began with a simple conviction: no child should go hungry when food is available and people are willing to help.
What started as a response to local need grew into a mission to serve children and families both in Texas and in Togo, Africa—through food, community, and faith.
How We Serve:
In Togo, Africa, the beef used in our feeding programs is sourced and processed locally, supporting regional farmers and strengthening local food systems. Meals are prepared and served through trusted feeding centers and community partners.
In Texas, we work through community outreach and partnerships to help provide food and support to families in need.
This approach allows us to serve with dignity, sustainability, and respect for the communities we support. No child eats a meal we supplement without first hearing the Gospel and the hope that Jesus offers!
Our Heart and Faith:
Our work is rooted in faith and obedience. We believe caring for physical needs opens the door to hope, relationship, and restoration.
We serve not to be seen, but to be faithful—trusting God to multiply what is offered.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat.” — Matthew 25:35
Who We Are:
Meat the Need is led by a small, committed team of volunteers, partners, and local leaders who believe in practical service and long-term impact.
We value transparency, stewardship, and relationship in everything we do.
